ridiculous love
innocent and encompassing
it swept her floating
blind to existence past its sphere
and ambivalent to the strings attached
regarded as encumbrances
neither vast nor excessive
until seen through rose-less glasses
when the dance of restrictions
lost its romantic lustre
she wilted at the barriers
pondering the trade anew
