Day 83 - Colorfy

Colorfy has a new feature where you can take a photo of your drawing and they will convert it into a pattern for coloring.  This is a pattern based a portion of the Day 81 - Zentangle.

This one is destined for an artistic coworker, who I think will appreciate it.

Day 79 - Zentangle

Another day of twisted up drawing that untangles my thoughts.

Day 78 - Zentangle

I'm enjoying a few days off work and just doing some drawing to unwind. So here's the beginning of a run of tangles.

Day 77 - Zentangle

In honor of St Patrick's Day I did a zentangle in the shape of a shamrock on green paper. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to photograph it before I gave it to my sister.

I do have a shot of my creative partner for the day though.  Here's my nephew working intently on his drawing.

Day 71 - Zentangle (Process)

Trading card sized zentangle: The Finished Project

This time I took photos throughout the process.  First the base structure-

Then I map out the designs for each section-

Now the lines in pen-

Once that's finished I erase the pencil marks-

Now the shading starts-

One part down, moving on to additional areas-

Finishing up the shading-

Then just adding my initials and I'm done-

Day 66 - Zentangle

Another zentangle- Sakura Micron black ink on 4x4 bristol board card

I have to figure out what to start doing with all these little drawings.

Day 65 - Coloring

I started a Celtic Design using Sakura markers and colored pencil.

Day 64 - Zentangle

It took me 2 separate evenings to finish all the shading on the basket-weave background.  Every little rectangle has to be filled with gradation.

Day 63 - Zentangle

I used a compass to sketch the basic curves.  It really helped with the symmetry.

Day 62 - Coloring

I finally completed this page out of Mehndi Designs.  You can follow the progress below.

Day 61 - Zentangle

I completed this tangle while my hair color was developing at the salon.  The "C" is because it was a gift for my hairdresser, Chelsea.

Day 59 - Photography

Today I took photos of Mom's church in order to print up memorial thank you notes.  It was a nice day out, but the grass needed some serious help to look this green.  I use the free image editor GIMP to tweak photos that need a little assistance/repair.

Day 58 - Zentangle

Another square of tangles, darker than most

Day 57 - Cooking

Tonight I baked a half dozen crisps for tomorrow's bake sale at church.  There are 2 strawberry rhubarb, 1 blackberry raspberry, and 3 cherry rhubarb  (one of which acted as "quality control").

Although I am by no means a baker, I do enjoy making this treat.  It's a basic peach crisp recipe that I have adjusted for most any fruit I choose.

Day 53 - Music

This evening I made music with my 5 year old nephew.  We made up tunes that we played on our invisible pianos and snare drums.  It was a fun little performance.

Day 50 - Coloring

I'm continuing with the mandala I started on Day 40 from "The Craft of Coloring."  It is so close to finished, but not quite done.
