Water (imbued)
drenched
sorrow dripping from fingertips
each crashing wave
a new round of tears
rivers carving tender cheeks
hollow pools in a gaunt face
reservoirs of grief
resenting the dry eyes that follow
their pain forever ebbed
deserts of emotion

2016 New Year's Resolution
